Create a bootable ESXi on a USB stick

There are a lot of guides out there on how to create a bootable USB for ESXi. I wanted to create a bootable ESXi with Rufus, but my Windows VM kept crashing when creating the bootable USB. So I needed to find some other solution. Thats when I found Yumi from pendrivelinux.

It is a small exe file where you just point the USB drive and your ISO – then it does the rest for you. I made a small guide for this.

You can get Yumi from here.

Once you have downloaded it, just run the exe file.

You’re done. Stick the USB in your machine and boot it from USB.  :-)
